Biography

Ahron Friedberg, MD

I am Founding Director of the Park Avenue Center. The Center was established over a decade ago to meet the needs of clients that are not effectively served by traditional mental health and business resources. These include individuals and organizations that want concierge level guidance, special expertise, and other services.

My professional training is as a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in private practice in Manhattan. I serve as clinical professor in psychiatry at Mount Sinai and co-chair our Department’s Advisory Board. I have twice been National President of the American Society of Psychoanalytic Physicians. I was appointed the first Executive Editor of International Psychoanalysis, a leading psychoanalytic resource, and have also been its Managing Editor. I have published several, original articles in prestigious, peer-reviewed journals of psychiatry and psychoanalysis.

More broadly, my background extends to business, real estate and finance through Friedberg Enterprises and Friedberg Properties. My approach is enriched by my studies at Dartmouth College in English literature and the humanities. I’ve worked with numerous clients in private equity, hedge funds, venture capital as well as other entrepreneurs and creative individuals.
